1. Try not to do too much studying at one time.

Space it out! Trust me, grinding it all out at one time is going to make it so much harder to focus and obtain the material. Do a little of each subject every night!

2. Plan specific times for studying.

If you don't make set time for when you are planning to study/do work, then you will continue to push it back further and further. (Trust me...lolz) Set timers/alarms for yourself!

3. Try to study at the same times each day.

There is nothing better than a good study routine! Find out what time you focus best, whether that is after dinner, at 1 in the morning, or right after school.

4. Set specific goals for their study times.

Have goals for yourself! You can set a timer for an hour, and if you work hard for a hour treat yourself with a 15 minute snack break. Or, you may plan fun things for yourself or with friends for the next day/the weekend so you have motivation & something to work toward!

5. Work on the assignment you find most difficult first.

This has always worked best for me. If I put a lot of brainpower and effort into my first assignment, I get into the working mindset and I am able to grind through the rest of my class assignments.

6. Put your phone away!

I know for me, my phone is the biggest reason why I procrastinate my homework. I like to set it somewhere across the room, limit my screen time, or set a timer where I cannot touch it. You can give it to a family member too so there is zero chance for distraction.

Environment is so important. I like to study in a place that is NOT my room- because I associate my room with relaxation and it's hard for me to focus. I want to keep my room a place of rest and the place I study a place of work; this gets me in the correct mindset based on my environment. If you have a spare room/bonus room, consider working there. I like working at a desk, where I can sit up straight, and am comfortable. Here are some pictures of my space where I do school assignments!

The best way to stay organized during the school year is with a personal planner! This allows you to write in the classes you have that day, your homework, your personal plans, and your self care throughout the day! I love having a planning that included a calendar for each month as well so I can plan out my activities that way! Here is the link to the planner I have that is shown in these pictures!

Mini tip: Have something that you use/see everyday that makes you smile. For me, it is these cute pencils with positive affirmations!
