Yeah this is crazy: my 4 years of high school are coming to a close. This year has been extremely unconventional and difficult, and it especially impacted my senior year. I am grateful for the experiences that I was still able to have despite Covid, and I wouldn't erase those memories for anything. From struggling so much, I found myself as well as developed strong relationships with those I wasn't as connected to pre-covid. I decided to write a massive cumulative blog post of some of my thoughts and mems over the years; I have learned so much about my values, what I look for in friends, and who I am. I am here to share it all with you ☻☻
Underclassmen advice: Honestly the most important thing I can say is to cherish every single moment. Go to every football game, every musical, get involved in clubs, get to know your teachers, spend time with your friends. High school is for learning and growing, and part of that growth comes with discovering what you want out of friendships, relationships, and your goals for yourself.

Stereotypes:
Take this funny quiz about stereotypes---> https://www.buzzfeed.com/theotherkennedy/go-back-to-high-school-to-find-out-which-stereotyp-2yyf4
See how silly that was? Exactly. Stereotypes suck. Don't get caught up in them in high school, just do whatever makes you happy and what you enjoy. If people judge you for being a 'Troy Bolton', so be it. They are the sad ones wasting time judging you and you are the one experiencing life to the fullest!
What I've learned: I have learned who I really am, flaws and all, and I have learned to love myself and grow from my mistakes instead of dwelling on them. I have learned how to hold myself accountable for my own actions without blaming others, and how to push myself to be the best I know I can be (without burning myself out). I have learned so much about who I want to surround myself with, and the types of people I do and don't mesh well with (which is totally okay- you're not going to looove everyone). I have learned that life moves really fast, and I need to slow down sometimes and cherish the memories I am making. :) I have learned my goals for my future, and even though they may change down the road, I hope to touch people's lives in some way.
My plans for next year: I plan to attend Wichita State University! I am majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders. I am in the Honors College, plan to rush, and hope to participate in choir and theatre! I am very excited and ready for this next step!
My five goals for myself moving forward: (I challenge you to do this for yourself too)
Create and keep a self care routine, and take care of my mental and physical needs.
Make AT LEAST 50 new friends!!!
Stay focused and motivated in school and push myself.
Get involved on campus in clubs and allow myself to venture outside of my comfort zone with clubs and classes that challenge me.
Don't spend too much money on shopping lol
There's hope for all of usツ
Me freshman year:
Ew.

Me senior year:
